Waystead Inn stands on the highest knoll in all of Historic Berlin. Which means, when it rains, it drains. Waystead Inn comprises 1.5 acres of an 8-acre greenspace, the largest in Berlin proper. We are delighted to be allied with the Town of Berlin to incorporate a new Library/Learning Center/Conservatory on the Town grounds which girdle the Inn.

Set back two hundred feet from Main Street, the Inn offers seclusion and quiet from the Everyday. It's a majestic restored old house, pretty, but not overwrought with chi-chi.

Most everyone else has.

Birds sing. Buds bloom. Red cardinals cut up in scarlet mayhem. Rabbits romp about the fresh-cut lawn. No drummers about to annoy you. (We'll explain when you get here).

Berlin will satisfy.

And so will famous Assateague Island Park, the strip of land on the Atlantic Coast that boasts those illustrious ponies, and scads of flora and fauna to shoot with a smartphone camera or just witness one-on-one.

So will Ocean City.
